Amanda Knox is ready to address the court. This was the latest from her father who visited with his daughter before closing arguments in the appeal of her 2009 murder conviction.
Outside the prison, Kurt Knox shared snippets of their conversation.
REPORTER: "What did you have to say to Amanda today?"
Soundbite: Amanda Knox's father Kurt Knox saying:
"Just to be strong, and she's doing ok. And hopefully, that was the last time we'll ever have to visit her there."
Her sister Deanna Knox.
SOUNDBITE: Amanda Knox's sister Deanna Knox saying:
"We just love her and we're here to support her, so just a fun visit today."
Her mother Edda Mellas has become a regular fixture in Perugia since the American college student was convicted of killing her roommate.
A forensic report discrediting the DNA evidence presented at her trial has renewed hopes of a possible appeal.
SOUNDBITE)(English) AMANDA KNOX'S MOTHER EDDA MELLAS:
REPORTER ASKING: "Did you talk about her coming out?"
"We talked about that possibility and what she wants to do, and it's always the same. She just wants to go home."
REPORTER: "She looked better yesterday, is she feeling a bit more confident?"
"Well yesterday was not as hard. They weren't attacking her personally, and, you know, the lawyers are doing a great job. So it was obviously much easier, those kind of days."
REPORTER: "As her mother, what did you say to her to encourage her?'
"What we've been saying for four years: it's going to be ok, hang on and you will get out of there. Thanks guys."
Prosecutors have painted the 24-year-old as a cunning, sex obsessed she-devill who killed her British roommate Meredith Kercher as part of an elaborate sex game. Knox is expected to make a final address to the court within the next few days.
