Tony Bennett has issued a clarification of his comments about 9/11. In an interview, the 85-year-old singer told Howard Stern that the U.S. was partly responsible for the attacks of September 11. Bennett issued a statement saying he was sorry for suggesting anything other than an expression of his love for his country, his hope for humanity and desire for peace throughout the world.
James Cameron and the Walt Disney Company have teamed up to bring a real-life "Avatar" world to everyone. Disney will create an "Avatar" land at its theme park in Orlando, Florida - to the cost of 400 million dollars. Construction is estimated to take five years - and will eventually be added to Disney's other parks around the world.
Richard Gere will be honored by the International Rome Film Festival. He will receive the Marcus Aurelius career award at the fest, which runs from October 27 to November 4.
Elizabeth Taylor's collection of designer clothes will be sold at auction in New York. The December 13-16 sales, which span over 50 years of fashion, will include items by Chanel, Yves St. Laurent and Dior - and even the silk chiffon dress Taylor wore to her first wedding to Richard Burton.
