Take a tour of Seefeld Church of St. Oswald in Seefeld, Austria – part of the World’s Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. The Seefeld Church of Saint Oswald, located in Austria, is a small, simple building, but is frequently visited because of its history. This church was built sometime in the thirteenth century, but was barely known before the year 1384, when a miracle took place. The story tells that an arrogant knight marched up to the altar of Saint Oswald's with a drawn sword, demanding more communion bread. When he put the bread into his mouth, he sank up to his knees in the ground, grabbing the altar as he fell. When the priest pulled the Host from the knight's mouth, the knight was rescued and left to live a life of penance. Though the church has changed somewhat, the marks of the knight's hands and legs have been preserved in the building.
