The chief of Libya's provisional government got an enthusiastic welcome as his plane touched down in Tripoli.
It's the first time Mustafa Abdel Jalil has set foot in the Libyan capital since his allies chased out Muammar Gaddafi.
He arrived to scores of supporters waving National Transitional Council flags.
Interim government officials say it marks a new chapter for Libya's people..
SOUNDBITE: Mahmoud Shamman, head of media relations for the National Transitional Council, saying (English):
"This is a historical moment, the arrival of Mustafa Abdel Jalil. Mustafia Abdel Jalil is playing a crucial role to unify the Libyan people and he's the natural leadership."
Jalil was Gaddafi's former justice minister who defected at the start of the six month civil war.
His arrival in Tripoli is a significant boost to his own credibility and that of his new government.
He's calling for unity and echoed earlier warnings that Gaddafi is not finished yet.
SOUNDBITE: NTC Chairman Mustafa Abdel Jalil saying (Arabic):
"We are not yet liberated. Gaddafi still has money and gold. These are fundamental things that will allow him to find men," (JALIL SAYS). "We have to realise Gaddafi's not finished yet. We have to focus our efforts on liberating the remaining cities, Bani Walid, Sabha and Sirte."
The battle for towns like Bani Walid, which remains under the control of forces loyal to Gaddafi, is still going on.
It's one of three towns rebel fighters are trying to capture.
Whether Gaddafi is holed up inside any one of them is not yet known.
