Within orthopedic surgery here at The Everett Clinic, Dr. Skalley's primary focus is sports medicine, and sports injuries, and taking care of the athlete. It involves a lot of arthroscopic surgery of the knee and ankle, especially with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, taking care of the meniscus and cartilage injuries of the knee.
Dr. Skalley's background in sports medicine began during his residency at Tulane University in New Orleans. He was fortunate enough to be able to spend a six month rotation at the Houston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia, which is a well-known sports medicine and orthopedic center.
