Do you give a gift or do not you give a gift. What kind of a gift do you give and what value of the gift. Very challenging. It cannot be to personal, generic. Usually the boss will do a gifting before you did a gifting. But it needs to be significant, it needs to be personal but not too personal. So a good example, safe example, is going to be a wonderful business book or a subscription to a business magazine. My personal preference is a hand written note on quality stationary, really expressing your thanks to them for being a guide in the business that your in. That you are honoring and showing respect to them because they are a good leader. That is always a great place to start.
