Nature’s Path, the maker of organic breakfast foods, and Organic Gardening magazine have launched a Facebook campaign to give away $65,000 for urban farming ideas. Gardens for Good 2011 will award the grant money to help urban farms and community gardens produce fresh, organic food. Last year, Gardens for Good funded three gardens, in California, Florida, and British Columbia. Applications are now being accepted at www.facebook.com/naturespath.

Rudolf Steiner Social Finance celebrated 150 years of social transformation inspired by Rudolf Steiner with a festival held in San Francisco last Sunday. The event included interactive workshops, panel discussions, and organic and biodynamic food and wine tastings. Rudolf Steiner’s contributions include Waldorf education and biodynamic farming.
