Yoga - Cow Face Pose Easy Variation - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats. I am going to show you Gomukhasana today, the cow face pose. This posture is excellent to help create flexibility all around the shoulder joints, and also a range of motion there to prepare the arms for other more advanced postures. We are going to do the easy variation today. So, just sitting on the heels, stretch the right arm up toward the ceiling and reach toward the center of your back near the right shoulder blade. From there, take the left arm out to the side, rotating it all the way down and in. Then building the elbow, reach your left hand up to meet the right. Push the top arm back with the head. Lift the chest. And then, while you are there, close the eyes and make the posture, again, into a meditation. To come out, just release the arms and return to the thunderbolt position. I am going to show you the arms from behind now, so you can see the positioning a little bit better. Left arm up. Reach for the left shoulder blade. You can even use your hands to help move the shoulder a little bit. Right arm out to the side. Rotate it. Bend it. Cross it up toward the left hand. Then bring the left elbow behind your head if you can. Lift the chest and push back. To come out, just release.
