Getting Introduced to Pottery - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. Hi. I am Alix Cunningham with Alixandra Pottery. I love pottery. It is a fantastic way to relax, to end the day or even start the day, if you are lucky enough. And it is very therapeutic. It is a lot of fun. It is very messy, which I think is really most of the fun. And it is great for children and adults alike. You can take pottery classes almost anywhere. Usually at Community Centers. You might want to just check out Google Community Centers in your neighborhood. There are places like this all over the place. It is fantastic, it is a lot of fun and I highly recommend it. Dealing with Broken Pieces: In pottery sometimes mistakes happen. After the piece is dried and I drop it and it breaks, I can still break it up and put it in a pail of water. Let the clay absorb the water, dry out and then I will put in on my wedging board, wedge it up and reuse it and it will become a beautiful pot again.
