“Telling Amy’s Story” Wins Prestigious CINE Golden Eag

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Basking Ridge, NJ - August 8, 2011 - “Telling Amy’s Story,” the documentary film depicting events leading up to the domestic violence homicide of Amy Homan McGee, was honored with a CINE Golden Eagle Award. The documentary is the centerpiece of a public service media initiative to raise awareness about domestic violence and encourage victims to seek help. “Telling Amy’s Story” was produced by Penn State Public Broadcasting and funded by the Verizon Foundation.

The CINE Golden Eagle awards, which honor excellence in professional and independent works, are recognized internationally as symbols of the highest production standards in film and television production. Since its founding in 1957, CINE has been dedicated to discovering, rewarding, educating and supporting established and emerging talent in film and video.
