Nanda Devi raj jat is the once in 12 years trek up to Roopkund lake, where pilgrims witness human bones and skulls abandoned there centuries ago. Said to belong to pilgrims from the past, or the army of General Zorawar Singh that was hit by an avalanche or a hailstorm, or a meal of Belladonna. Whatever be the truth, it will perhaps never be known.
