Every year, the Dalai Lama makes a visit to the U.S. and every year, Chinese authorities warn U.S. officials not to meet with him. But the meeting takes place, nonetheless.

The Dalai Lama is visiting Washington this Saturday to give a public speech. The Chinese regime accuses the Nobel Peace Prize-winning spiritual leader of being a terrorist calling for a violent revolution for Tibetan independence. The Dalai Lama has always denied these claims. He says all he wants for Tibet is true autonomy.

Despite strong words from China, even U.S. President Barack Obama met with the Dalai Lama during his visit last year, drawing cries of condemnation from Beijing.
