The fascinating face of the great brazilian composer Villa-Lobos in different stages of his life.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Villa-Lobos made his first musical steps by learnig the violoncello, later guitar and clarinet. His music is inspired by brazilian street music bands as well as by J.S.Bach. Villa-Lobos started his musical career playing in coffeehouses, cinemas and theatre orchestras. Later on he became more and more popular as composer and conductor also in Europe and USA.
Composed in Paris in 1929, the "12 Études for guitar" were dedicated to the famous guitarist Andres Segovia.
The "Étude Nr.7" was part of my first commercial solo production in 1985, labeled as "affettuoso assai" and sold as handcopied compactCassettes during my first public concerts.
