Wedding Flowers: Popular Types - as part of the Wedding series by GeoBeats.
There are certain traditional flowers that become part of most weddings. Stephanotis, Lily of the Valley, garden roses and Peonies are probably the big top favorites. Peonies are only available twice during the year and during those spring months and that little small window in the fall when they are available, I don't think we do a wedding where we don't use them. They are absolutely requested.
Orchids are always beautiful. Sometimes cost prohibitive depending on the time of the year. Brides are starting to bend the rules a little bit and we are moving away from white, so you are starting to see some bright colors. So things that might not have been used 10 years ago are now becoming hugely popular.
We use Dahlias, we use Tulips, very colorful, vibrant, mouth watering shades. So I think that the rules now are changing and what was once a very expected traditional list of flowers is expanding to include all sorts of exciting new things.
