Hi, I am Kelly with Karuna Yoga. We are going to take a Seated Spinal Flex. So this is wonderful to open up the flexibility in the body, in the spine, and it takes a little more blood supply to the brain, in particular the frontal brain, and this is our seat-of-executive thinking. So wonderful, wonderful benefits for us. Plus, it sparks a creativity.
So take the hands on to the front legs and we are going to take our eyes and close them. Look to the center of the brow. And this helps with the chemical balance, or the hormonal balance, of the body.
Take the chest forward as you breathe in, curve round the spine as you breathe out. And just move at a moderate pace. Inhale forward, exhale back. Just let your shoulders move with the spine, the torso. Let your breath flow in a restful easeful way. Lets take 3 more. 1...2...3... good. Inhale center and exhale.
