Falls for FTSE, DAX and CAC - Market Update, 17th June 2011

- The FTSE 100 opened negative this morning, down 30 points, and is currently trading down 40 points.

- The DAX is down 65 points, while the CAC is down 48 points. Dow Futures are currently trading down 36 points.

- The FTSE Index is see falling in tandem with continued declines globally after a turbulent week of political and economic unrest in Greece.

- Concerns grew that the highly indebted eurozone country would struggle to avoid a debt default.

- In currencies, GBP/USD is at 1.6111 , EUR/USD is at 1.4153, USD/JPY is at 8046.
