More than 600 people, including 103 children, are suffering from lead poisoning in eastern China. This incident was reported by state-run media. Twelve of the children have been hospitalized.
The lead poisoning affected families who live and work near tinfoil workshops in Yangxunqiao town of Zhejiang Province.
China has laws that regulate industrial pollution. But widespread corruption and political problems make those laws hard to enforce.
