Detained Chinese artist Ai Weiwei has been allowed a visit by his wife. It came six weeks after he disappeared into Chinese authorities' custody.
Ai's wife told the Associated Press on Monday that the dissident artist appeared healthy. Two other people were present at the Sunday afternoon meeting. Ai was unable to discuss anything other than his health and family.
Since detaining Ai, the Chinese regime has only said he's being investigated for economic crimes. He's not been formally charged.
Ai's detention prompted international outcry, with numerous western governments condemning the Chinese regime for its deteriorating human rights.
