Speed Painting: Classical Still-life Oil Painting on Canvas by Christine Barme Meyers

2011-05-12 2

In just 7 minutes, watch Christine Barme Meyers create an original oil painting from conception to finalization. The original work was created in 8 hours spanning 3 days, with each brush stroke being filmed along the way. The resulting footage was shortened by speeding up the video by 700% and tediously removing the frames in which her paint brush is shown to separate from the canvas.

The video is accompanied by the first movement of Henry Litolff's Concerto Symphonique No. 4 in D Minor, Op. 102.
