The Toyota Highlander is available in three trims: Base, SE and Limited. Available engines include a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine making 187 horsepower and a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 270 horsepower. V6 models can tow up to 5,000 pounds, and the Base model can pull up to 3,500 pounds. Standard and optional features include fold and stow away third-row seat, sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, power seats, fog lights, 3.5-inch information screen with trip computer. Highlander buyers may also choose an upgraded sound system with a 6-disc changer, Smart Key entry system, heated mirrors and windshield.
A hybrid version is also available with a 3.3-liter V6 engine and integrated electric motor/generator system that's produces a combined 209 horsepower.
Standard safety equipment includes items such as anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist, front side air bags, roll-sensing side-curtain airbags and driver's knee airbags.
