- The markets saw a positive day yesterday, with the FTSE up 76 points & the Dow up 75 points.

- In the UK, the FTSE is struggling this morning, falling 17 points at 6001 so far.

- Again, trading has been fairly quiet today as traders await the BofE's quarterly inflation report at 10.30am. Investors will be looking for an indication on future interest-rate decisions.

- ITV has been the biggest faller of the day so far, falling 5.5% after a fall in advertising revenues & a downgrade from Investec.

- Whitbread & Morrison's are both down 2.5% as well.
