Springnet 435 - UT Art Landmarks Bicycle Tour

2011-05-07 15

For people with an adventurous spirit and a passion for the outdoors, there’s no better way to experience public art than from the seat of a bicycle. On May 7, 2011, the ride was a campus tour visiting works in the UT Landmarks public art program. The ride was joined by docents Sarah and Lisa to fill us in on the artists and the pieces themselves. The total ride distance is 6 miles and traveled at a liesurely pace. These rides are co-hosted by Mellow Johnny’s and the Austin Cycling Association.  This no-drop, co-ed group ride is perfect for the cyclist new to riding or bike commuting, returning to the bike or just looking for a more casual ride.
