A lot of fondant work, a lot of gum paste work, with a lot of shimmer. Pearls, very elegant, very elaborate. You can also go with more of an elaborate inside of a more flavorful filling while keeping a more elegant and simplistic outside. Doing things like tiramisu filling, or you know rich lemon curds.
If you want to go real crazy, you can do things like, we've had a client that did an igloo cooler with a six packet of dos equis on top. You do what makes you happy. You can go as crazy or as simplistic as you want. If you're going for elaborate, make it something that you'll remember and then everybody will talk about at your wedding.
