Fusing the driving rhythms of flamenco with funk, hip-hop, punk and other eclectic sounds, their music rips straight from the streets of Barcelona. The group has named this musical mash-up 'Jip Jop Flamenkillo', defining it as a sound that takes flamenco into the 21st century without losing any of the power or passion of the music's roots. Our WinkBall citizen video reporters were at the Barbican on Friday, 15th April 2011 for Ojos de Brujo’s special 10th anniversary show to capture the passion of those in attendance. Support for the Jip-Jop band came from Calexico and Amparo Sanchez collaborator Depedro. Were YOU there? If we missed you, please record a wink and share your thoughts!
