The Looping Star is a roller coaster designed and built by Anton Schwarzkopf.
The design was presented for the first time a mobile roller coaster on German fairs. In 1978 the first copy delivered to Oscar Bruch. This was the first looping roller coaster with a vertical loop in Germany.
The ride was the first looping roller coaster with a vertical in Belgium and the Netherlands, and Amusement Slagharen, Bobbejaanland opened their version of this coaster in 1979. The roller coaster in Bobbejaanland was demolished in 2003 to make way for the Typhoon. There were nine mobile units were built in parks throughout Europe, Japan and the United States.
Later, other types also Looping Star roller coaster called, but these were other models, such as the Silver Arrow model.
