The young UK resident who died after undergoing a cosmetic buttock treatment in the United States wanted to be a 'famous' dancer, according to a talent scout.
Claudia Aderotimi, 20, suffered medical complications in the wake of the procedure which took place in a budget hotel room.
The Thames Valley University student was said to be an aspiring hip-hop dancer who had appeared in a number of music videos.
Talent scout Tee Ali, who met her on a shoot, said: "She was a dancer and a choreographer. She loved to dance and had a drive to be famous. The problem was she didn't have no butt and she wanted a butt.
"It's such a shame. She's a victim of all these girls trying to be perfect. She thought if she had a big booty she would have been in better videos and been more famous."
The young woman who lived in east London, thought to be a Nigerian national, travelled to Philadelphia with three friends and had the silicone injections in her buttocks on Monday.
She was rushed from her hotel, the Hampton Inn in south-west Philadelphia where the treatment was carried out, to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby when she began to suffer chest pains and had trouble breathing.
Police investigating her death said the cosmetic procedure, which is understood to have cost more than £1,000, was arranged over the internet and have questioned a woman believed to be involved in it.
They are still searching for the person who carried out the operation.
A post-mortem examination was carried out by the medical examiner but the cause of death has not yet been established. Police said toxicology tests would still need to be done.
Miss Aderotimi's mother, who was comforted by friends and family at her north London home, is too upset to talk or confirm reports that the operation was bought for her daughter as a 21st birthday present.
