“At best, man is the noblest of all animals, separated by justice he is the worst” - Aristotle What happens when a new law is enforced that ruins the lives of a generation of shepherds? Italian filmmaker, Achille D’Onofrio’s poignant award winning documentary graphically looks at the consequences of an order to euthanize an entire herd of sheep based on public fear over investigation and research. D’Onofrio personalizes this experience with interviews, an intimate look at a family and their grief of loosing not only their flock and source of income but their pet sheep “Tasha”.
