Unsightly spider veins are successfully removed using sclerotherapy and laser treatments. Smaller veins in the legs called spider veins can be treated by injecting them with a "sclerosing" solution which causes them to collapse or by treating them with laser therapy. The veins are then gradually absorbed and disappear. Most insurance companies do not pay for removal of the spider veins.
