Paris Hilton was among 200 passengers who were evacuated off a plane after a knife was found on board.
Those on the Delta Air Lines Boeing 757 flight, travelling from LAX to Hawaii, were taken to safety after a passenger discovered a large knife hidden in a seat pocket.
Paris tweeted: "We were about to take off then security made everyone deplane because they found a big knife on board the plane. Scary that it got on plane."
Later the socialite added: "They just finished the security sweep of the plane. About to board again. So strange a knife got on board. Can't wait to get to Maui."
However it turned out the four inch knife on board was not as sinister as first thought. A spokeswoman said it was actually just a catering knife accidentally left behind by the cabin crew and the search was a precaution.
