National Champions end 130 years of male only history by welcoming Laura Hirst to the ranks. It has been announced that the National & Yorkshire Champion, Brighouse & Rastrick has made the historic decision to welcome the first female player into their ranks. The Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band was formed in 1881. It is based in Brighouse, in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
