Alexandra Burke has revealed that her new material has a more intimate, confessional edge, much like Amy Winehouse's infamous Back to Black album.
The X Factor winner has said that she wanted to show fans a deeper side to her adding: "I thought I'd let my fans in. In just a little bit more than they have been already."
One track in particular was taken from the singer's diary, which she describes as being based on: 'A situation that I went through a couple of years ago with an ex-boyfriend and the relationship never worked out, but a beautiful song came from it."
The popular star is also preparing herself to launch a clothing range with boy-band and close friends JLS. The boys will design a male range and Alexandra will "do the ladies."
Burke recently returned to The X Factor for a one off performance and has said that she is backing Rebecca Ferguson to win.
