Lily Allen has launched a furious response to journalist Katie Nicholl's article which speculates that she may get married over the festive season.
The article, which was published last night, references the recent tragic loss of Lily and boyfriend Sam Cooper's unborn child. In the text it speculates that the pair have grown closer and intend to marry to 'ease their pain.'
Allen first tweeted in the early hours of this morning and is reported to have called Nicholl a c***.
Subsequent tweets on the 'lilyroseallen' account implied that the pair were communicating and that Nicholl had threatened Allen with legal action.
Lily announced that she would amend her initial statement, changing it to, 'Katie Nicholl I THINK you're a c***, leave me out of your sh**ty column, you know nothing about the intimate details of my life.'
She then added, 'There's a time and a place for your musings where I'm concerned and it's not now.'
A spokesperson for Allen and Cooper denied any rumours of a wedding.
The couple lost their child at 6 months in early November.
