Taken at the 24 November 2010 student protests in London against cuts to education funding. Pre-agreed march route was cut off by riot police. School kids, teenagers and students were rounded up and kettled in Whitehall, many of them for over 10 hours, in freezing temperatures with no food, water, or sanitation. Many were still in school uniforms, some as young as 11. The police used violence to incite the naive kids into vandalizing an old police van they had planted in the crowd as a media prop. When parents showed up in the evening looking for their kids, they were charged by mounted police. The police lied about the mounted charge and lied about the reason for the van being there, as evidenced by citizen footage. This video shows a cop bragging about punching a protester, to the amusement of his colleagues.
