Gwyneth Paltrow received a standing ovation when performing a song from her upcoming film, Country Strong, at the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville.
The actress sang and played guitar, alongside Vince Gill, to a packed audience, which included Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban.
Country Strong is due for release in the UK in March 2011.
But we will get to hear Gwyneth sing before that, as the Oscar winner has filmed a two-part cameo on hit US TV show Glee, the new series of which starts in January 2011.
Speaking of her Glee appearance, the show's creator, Ryan Murphy, told People magazine:
"She had to sort of stamp around with Matt [Morrison, who plays Will] and the kids in a full tank of water for 12 hours. She loved it, actually. She's just the best.
"She's the easiest, breeziest girl around - she's such a professional. She was so prepared, she worked so hard."
