British boxers David Haye and Audley Harrison have engaged in one last verbal punch up ahead of their WBA heavyweight title fight in Manchester on Saturday.

It will be Haye's second mandatory title defence following victory over American John Ruiz earlier this year. He won the crown by defeating Russian Nikolay Valuev in Nuremberg, Germany just over a year ago.

"I like to fight and I feel that Audley doesn't like to fight as much as I do but I'm going to force him to fight," Haye, nicknamed "The Hayemaker", told reporters during a joint pre-fight news conference.

"He (Harrison) says he's going to make me fight every second of every round and that's fine by me. I just hope he's ready to go every second or every round because I'm in great shape. My weight's good, my timing, my technique, everything's on point and I'm looking forward to giving a great night's entertainment."

Harrison responded by insisting it was his destiny to beat Haye and become the world champion.

"I know David Haye's coming in, I know he's trained well and I know he's a hundred percent ready and I'm going to have to be at my best and I am at my best," said Harrison, who has 27 wins from 31 pro fights.

"David Haye thinks he is just going to walk through me and this is going to be some sort of public execution, but this is going to be the fight of his life because I'm going in there for my destiny and trust me, I'm putting everything on the line," said Harrison.

As has become the norm with pre-fight news conferences, the duo often interupted or spoke over the top of each other throughout the media gathering.
