The Indiana Department of Workforce Development announced plans Wednesday to post armed guards at all WorkOne centers. The announcement will standardize the policy that allows for security guards at WorkOne centers.
Security guards both armed and unarmed have always been present at WorkOne locations, but it was up to each center to find and hire the security guards it needed. This caused some locations to have guards with no weapons as well as certain centers paying higher hourly rates for security guards than other locations.
