Sting and Trudie Styler's daughter Coco Sumner is trying to make her own way in the world of music with her new band I Blame Coco.

Their next single, In Spirit Golden, is out on November 1 and is described by Coco as "dark pop":

"The songs comes from quite a dark and real place. The music is exciting and hopeful and uplifting."

But 20-year-old Coco says although her dad is a world famous singer, she never thought she would go down that avenue:

"Music runs my life. It's an obsession of mine. I never wanted to be a singer when I was younger. I thought singing was very naff. I wanted to play and write music. I don't know when the switch went off in my head of the transition between just writing it for myself and playing it for other people."

Coco's debut album, The Constant, is out on November 8
