Russell Brand and Katy Perry have tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in India.
The couple took part in a Hindu celebration, the first stage of days of celebrating with friends who are thought to include Jonathan Ross and P Diddy.
Brand and Perry, who met at the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2009, have tried to keep their wedding details under wraps and so far, few pictures have emerged from the gathering.
Organisers are said to have booked 21 camels and an assortment of elephants and horses for the marriage procession.
Self confessed lothario Brand has had a reputation for his string of sexual conquests - one being the granddaughter of Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs, whom he phoned along with Jonathan Ross, to inform his of their liaison.
The ensuing scandal dubbed Sachsgate eventually saw him resigning from his Radio 2 show.
Perry has become a worldwide success since her first hit I Kissed A Girl in 2008.
