Damage from a collision in the North Sea.

A Greek tanker carrying jet fuel collided with this Cypriot container ship some 30 kilometers off the Dutch coast Tuesday.

The cause of the collision is still unknown.

A Port of Rotterdam spokesman said the container ship had been en route to Rotterdam from St. Petersburg.

The damaged tanker, the Mindoro, leaked jet fuel from a hole above the water line but the coast guard says the leak was quickly contained.

The North Sea is home to some of the world's busiest shipping lanes and Rotterdam is one of Europe's biggest ports, but authorities are expecting no delays as a result of the accident.
