HOUSTON - The Coast Guard medevaced a man from a tanker in Galveston Fairway Anchorage near Galveston Island, Wednesday. Watchstanders at Sector Houston Galveston received a report at approximately 12:28 a.m. that a 44-year old male aboard the Eagle Toledo, a 809-foot chemical tanker. The injured crewman was in tremendous pain after attempting to lift a heavy object. Air Station Houston launched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter and crew to the scene at approximately 1:34. The crew successfully hoisted the man off the Eagle Toledo and transferred him to awaiting emergency medical services who transported him to the University of Texas Medical Branch. http://CoastGuardNews.com
