It was a chilling experience for viewers at an air show in Indonesia's West Java. A plane crashed to the ground and caught fire on Friday during the show. Only the pilot was onboard. He was rushed to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Sources say the pilot was flying the Super Decathlon plane too low.

The air show was suspended after the crash.

Super Decathlon planes are primarily used for flight training and aerobatic exercises.

The Bandung Air Show, which opened on Thursday, is part of the 200th anniversary of the city.
