The Dyson Air Multiplier is a fan, but it’s not a fan. Where the blades would be on a standard desk fan, is just a hole. The point of it, says Dyson, is that removing the blades means less of what it calls ‘buffeting’ which is the effect you feel of all the turbulent air flowing over your skin.
