UN Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie has revealed she is planning a trip to Pakistan in the wake of what is being described as one of the world's biggest disasters.

It is thought 20 million people have been affected by the floods.

The actress has already donated over £63,000 but said more needs to be done: "I'm planning a trip, we're contacting people on the ground and we're speaking to people in the US government everyday."

Jolie and partner Brad Pitt spent Thanksgiving in Pakistan in 2005 visiting victims of the earthquake which claimed the lives of over 73 thousand people.

"It's such a catastrophe that it's hard to know what to do but everyone should do something," the Hollywood star added.
