Swine Flu Cases on the Rise in Western India

Swine flu cases are on the rise in India's western state of Maharashtra. Six patients have died in the last 48 hours alone.

Many cases of swine flu have been reported from several parts of India in the last few weeks.

On Tuesday, in western Maharashtra state, several people have shown symptoms of the virus.

"There are 19 patients in the ward, out of which five have tested positive and 14 others are suspected cases of swine flu.”

Gattani also said that six people have died in the last 48 hours, but only two cases have been confirmed.

Since April, ten people have died from swine flu in India.
