Government needs to ensure that quality healthcare is available and affordable to all, especially the elderly, children and the needy. I was a proponent of the Massachusetts Universal Healthcare plan in 2006. I supported public option of President Barack Obama and Democrats at the federal level. I will work to ensure that every Marylander is provided an opportunity to buy health insurance and have healthy competition among insurance companies to keep prices competitive.
