Harry Redknapp thinks that the Premier League title will be tougher than ever this year with the big four, Manchester City, Everton and his own Spurs side challenging for the title.
It has been a relatively quiet summer for the wheeler-dealer manager and he has now ruled out Peter Crouch leaving the club. The bean-pole striker had been linked with a return to Liverpool.
Redknapp says there is no point in spending money for the sake of it. He believes that Manchester City are the only club in the position to spend a lot of money on players.
The Spurs manager is also relaxed about new rules on homegrown players. Tottenham have a large number of English players in their first team, so Redknapp is unconcerned by the changes.
