William Kincaid (1895-1967) is soloist, and is accompanied by the Philadelphia orchestra under the direction of Eugene Ormandy, in this recording of the Poem for Flute and Orchestra by Charles T. Griffes (1884-1920). This performance took place April 5-6, 1952 at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia. I created this video from the LP, "The Philadelphia Orchestra: First Chair," issued by Columbia Records in 1952, serial number ML 4629 (mono).
