Bullet For My Valentine are big Kerrang! winners

It was a good night for the Brits at the Kerrang! Awards with Bullet For My Valentine, Biffy Clyro and You Me At Six all beating off competition from their American rivals.


Bullet For My Valentine took home two awards for Best Live Band and Best British Band, Biffy took home Best Video for My Captain and You Me At Six won Best Single for Liquid Confidence.


Kerrang! magazine's 17th annual award ceremony took place at the Brewery in East London and was hosted by Corey Taylor and Scott Ian for the second year running.


30 Seconds To Mars, fronted by Jared Leto, picked up Best International Band while Paramore took home Best Album for Brand New Eyes, which was certified Gold in the US after reaching number one in seven international album charts.


London-based metallers Rise To Remain were crowned Best British Newcomer with Best International Newcomer going to Trash Talk.


Motley Crue were awarded with the Kerrang! Hall of Fame trophy.


Other special honours went to Ronnie James Dio, who passed away in May. He received a posthumous Icon award, whilst Paul Gray, the Slipknot bassist who died earlier this year, was honoured with the Services To Metal award.
