From Backlash 2002.
Rob Van Dam started his career in 1990, under the training of The Original Shiek and Sabu. After short stints in companies such as WCW, USWA and AJPW, RVD arrived in ECW in 1996. He held the tag team titles twice with Sabu and held the TV title longer than anyone, for 23 months, and wasn't even defeated for the belt, vacating the title after a broken leg. After ECW capsized, RVD found himself in WWE as part of the WCW/ECW Invasion. RVD held the Hardcore title four times and the tag titles three times with Kane, Booker T and Rey Mysterio. He also won the IC title six times. RVD hit the main event in 2006 when he beat John Cena for the WWE title and was awarded the newly-resurrected ECW title in the process. Van Dam left WWE in 2007 and pretty much stayed out of the mainstream until debuting for TNA in 2010. Only a month after debuting, Van Dam won his third world title, the TNA World Championship, defeating AJ Styles.
