Two Russian astronauts have been performing a spacewalk at the International Space Station to fit a new video camera.

Fyodor Yurchikhin and Mikhail Kornienko are replacing the device and also improving cable connections to the orbiting laboratory's newest module.

They were expected to spend about six hours outside the station to complete the work.

The new camera will be used in monitoring the docking of supply ships sent by the European Space Agency.

The astronauts will also attach cables connecting the rest of the ISS to the Russian Rassvet module.
